This page provides details relating to the Energy Efficiency Scheme, along with operational guidelines. Before applying, we would encourage you to assess your home and decide on the measures to best suit your requirements - you may not need every item. Helpful videos and links about energy saving materials as well as support can be found on the NetZero website.

The Energy Efficiency Scheme provide simple but effective energy efficiency measures free to eligible households. By installing the items provided under the scheme, you will be able to reduce your energy consumption, providing genuine long-term savings that keep bills down and help cut carbon emissions.

The scheme is open to any island resident who owns their own home or rents, either through a private landlord or social housing. To be eligible, you must meet one of our eligibility criteria. If you do, then £800 worth of energy efficiency items will be made available to you, by two routes:

  • A series of depots around the island, where smaller measures such as LED lightbulbs and draught excluders can be collected
  • An online voucher scheme, whereby you will receive a voucher that can be redeemed with a participating merchant. This will allow you to access more substantial items, such as loft insulation, as well as the simple measures

As well as the £800, certain successful applicants will be able to claim an additional £525 to help with the installation of the items received.

To help you decide on the measures most suited to your home, as well as advice on installation and energy efficiency in general, please visit our accompanying page on NetZero Isle of Man.
