With the cost of living on the Isle of Man rising, our charities, faith groups and non-profit organisations are working hard to support everyone. 

Many organisation will be providing additional support and running additional events over the winter period to support you with the cost of living.  

For some ideas on where to turn for help, or ways to support others, here are some of the key sources of advice, grants and support. 

Support for older people 

Live at Home

Information and advice, befriending and regular social activities.

Age Concern

Promotes health and well-being, support and lifelong learning and social activities. Also provides support to people through Hardship funds - read the criteria before applying.

Crossroads

Support for carers and people with care needs

Southern Befrienders

Supports older people who feel lonely and isolated by providing regular, one-to-one companionship by dedicated befrienders or in weekly social activities.

General support 

Salvation Army

Support for families, older people, budget and debt advice, advice on employment and homelessness .

Citzens' Advice

Free impartial advice including housing issues, benefits advice, relationships breakdown, employment issues, and food bank referrals .

Royal British Legion

Support, advice, wellbeing and connections.

Douglas Coal Fund

Vouchers that can be used towards paying fuel bills.
